ABOUT THE LEARNING MODULE
Welcome! This learning module is designed to reveal the ethical complexity of biomedical research. This module contains a simulation where you will play the role of a scientific researcher developing CRISPR-based therapies and be forced to make choices about your research agenda and how to engage with the public.
AFTER COMPLETING THIS MODULE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO:
Be more aware of the contextual factors that influence research agendas.
Identify some of your personal biases and how they may impact your research decisions.
Feel more comfortable making research decisions with complex ethical dimensions.
Be more familiar with ethical concepts about disability, power, equity, and harm.
Describe the responsibilities that a researcher has to a broader community.

We’ll ask you a few questions on the next screen before you can dive into the simulation.
